We supply a wide range of clear, coloured and metallic nitrocellulose and acrylic lacquers. Our lacquers come in both easy to use aerosols and bottled (neat) for use in spray gun equipment.
We test and tweak all of our lacquers extensively before offering them for sale; they are of the highest quality and hand picked by us because they work!
Nitrocellulose lacquer is the classic vintage finish used on old guitars and other instruments; our nitro lacquers are great for restoration use or on custom vintage-style builds.
Clear nitrocellulose lacquer for use as a top coat over tinted lacquers, paints and natural woods. Available bottled and in aerosols. It's the classic lacquer used on vintage instruments which yellows and cracks as it ages.
Tinted and coloured lacquer to go over wood and paint, translucent and opaque, to create sunburst finishes and give colours a vintage aged effect.
Nitrocellulose lacquer for finishing guitars. Available bottled and in aerosols, clear and tinted. It's the classic lacquer used on vintage instruments which yellows and cracks as it ages.
Tints suitable for use in nitrocellulose lacquer.
Lacquer is used to finish wood, for example guitar, banjo, bass, ukulele and other instrument bodies, and furniture. It is sprayed on (unlike varnish, which is applied with a brush). Tinted lacquers can be used to colour wood; its translucence allows some of the grain to show through. Special effects such as 'sunbursts' can be achieved by combining lacquers of different colours, and other tints such as our light brown and amber can give an aged appearance to new finishes.
We stock nitrocellulose (nitro) lacquer, the classic lacquer used on vintage guitars which gives a thin finish and cracks & yellows as it ages. We also stock more modern, stable water-based acrylic lacquers. All of our lacquers are available in aerosol spray cans and neat for use in professional spray guns.
