Abrasives and Steel Wool

We stock a selected range of abrasives and accessories for preparing and finishing wood & metal. Our sandpaper is used for preparing wood and removing old finishes prior to refinishing. Wet/Dry abrasive paper is a waterproof paper that comes in a range of fine grits which is used for finishing metal, paints and lacquers (for example when painting guitar and car bodies). Steel wool can be used on metal and also to scuff a gloss finish to a satin effect.

Wet Dry Paper
Wet & dry paper for rubbing back paints and lacquers between coats, and for smoothing the top coat prior to polishing.  Silicone carbide on a waterproof backing, available in various grits.

Abrasives include sandpaper for wood and wet dry paper for paint, lacquers and metals.  We sell abrasives by the sheet in a range of grits including 40, 80, 180, 320, 600, 800, 1200, 2000.  We also sell steel wool in grades 0000 (Extra Fine), 0 (Medium) and 2(Coarse).  Abrasive pads are easy to use and great for touching up or applying oils and other wood treatments.
